Hilton and Sun Group Strengthen Partnership in Vietnam

Hilton Expands Its Footprint in Vietnam with Exciting New Developments

Hilton, a global leader in hospitality, is making significant strides in Vietnam through an expanded partnership with Sun Group. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for Hilton as it deepens its commitment to the Vietnamese market, known for its booming tourism sector and rich cultural heritage.

Strategic Partnership with Sun Group

Sun Group, a prominent player in Vietnam’s recreation, entertainment, and infrastructure sectors, has long been a partner of Hilton. Their collaboration aims to redefine the hospitality landscape in Vietnam, creating luxury experiences that resonate with contemporary travelers. The partnership signifies a mutual enthusiasm for elevating Vietnam as a premier travel destination.

Introducing New Brands to Vietnam

As part of this expansion, Hilton will introduce several renowned brands, including Conrad Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton. These iconic names will soon grace the landscape of Vietnam, enhancing the country’s appeal for both leisure and business travelers. The introduction of these brands marks a significant diversification of accommodations available to visitors, catering to various preferences and budgets.

Expanding Presence Across the Country

The collaboration will see the opening of five new properties across key regions in Vietnam—northern, central, and southern areas—all aimed at tapping into the country’s thriving tourism industry. This expansion will double Hilton’s current presence in Vietnam, increasing its portfolio from 21 to 26 properties. Each new hotel will offer unique experiences, blending local culture with the world-class hospitality Hilton is known for.

Notable New Properties

Among the exciting new developments, LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut in Vietnam with an 80-room luxury retreat on Đảo Xanh island along the Danang Riverside. This location is set to attract travelers seeking serene natural beauty combined with premium services.

Meanwhile, the Conrad Phu Quoc, Hilton Phu Quoc, and DoubleTree by Hilton Phu Quoc will collectively comprise a significant part of a hospitality and event precinct that will host the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Together, these hotels will boast around 1,500 rooms, setting the stage for high-profile events in a setting that captures the essence of Vietnam’s vibrant culture.

In addition, the Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort, near Halong Bay, is scheduled to open by the end of 2025. This resort will feature 216 luxurious rooms and villas, showcasing amenities like mineral baths, saunas, and private onsens, aiming to provide a holistic wellness experience that aligns with travelers’ increasing focus on health and well-being.

A Commitment to Quality and Experience

Vietnam stands as Hilton’s third-largest market in Southeast Asia, with its locations providing strong operational performance. By adding these new projects, Hilton solidifies its commitment to enhancing the quality and diversity of hospitality offerings in the region.

All properties under the Hilton umbrella, including Conrad Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton, will participate in Hilton Honors, the company’s esteemed loyalty program, which further incentivizes travelers to choose Hilton for their stays.

Vision for the Future

Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership brings together Hilton’s globally recognized brands and Sun Group’s extensive local expertise to create exceptional destinations that reflect the evolving needs of today’s travelers.” His vision underscores a future where luxury seamlessly blends with local authenticity, offering guests a compelling reason to choose Vietnam as their next travel destination.

Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group, reinforced this sentiment, emphasizing that by integrating Hilton’s world-class brands with Sun Group’s flagship destinations in Quang Ninh, Danang, and Phu Quoc, they are setting high standards for integrated resorts. This collaboration aims not only to attract international visitors but also to elevate the local tourism industry, ultimately enriching Vietnam’s hospitality narrative.

In essence, Hilton’s ambitious plans underline a shared belief in Vietnam’s potential and the desire to create unique, unforgettable experiences that appeal to a diverse range of travelers.
