Accor’s 2026 Expansion: New Luxury Resorts and Hotels Set to Transform Travel in the US, France, Thailand, and Beyond!

Accor, a world leader in hospitality, is gearing up for a transformative year in 2026 with an ambitious expansion plan. This strategy, set to unveil over 350 new properties in the next 12 months, will bolster its portfolio of more than 45 brands globally. From bustling urban centers to serene countryside retreats, Accor’s growth promises to redefine luxury travel and offer unforgettable experiences.

The Legacy of Orient Express: Sailing into a New Era

Accor is not just expanding its land-based offerings but is also taking to the seas with the debut of the Orient Express Corinthian. Celebrating the 140th anniversary of the historic rail service, this yacht is poised to be the world’s largest sailing vessel. Set to embark on its maiden voyage in June 2026, the yacht will traverse the Mediterranean, linking iconic ports like Marseille and Corsica, before making a grand transatlantic journey from Lisbon to Barbados.

Designed by renowned architect Maxime d’Angeac, the yacht features 54 exquisitely crafted suites and five high-end dining options, all curated by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno. This maritime masterpiece promises a luxurious, intimate experience, sure to be a highlight for discerning travelers.

A New Jewel in Venice

Further enriching the Orient Express portfolio, Orient Express Venezia is set to open in April 2026 within the historic Palazzo Donà Giovannelli. This stunning 15th-century palace will see an extensive renovation, marrying its rich historical roots with modern luxury. Guests can anticipate 47 lavish rooms and suites that exude Venetian charm, making it an ideal escape in the heart of one of the world’s most romantic cities.

Raffles and Fairmont: Expanding Luxury Footprints

Accor’s illustrious Raffles and Fairmont brands are also preparing for significant openings in 2026.

  • Raffles Jeddah, slated for early 2026, promises to be a new landmark in Saudi Arabia, featuring 142 rooms and 40 suites with breathtaking views of the Red Sea. Luxury amenities will include a lavish spa, three exquisite dining venues, and a grand ballroom.

  • Raffles The Red Sea, set for mid-2026, will offer 121 guestrooms and 33 exclusive villas, all designed to provide personal, world-class service against the backdrop of Shura Island.

In addition, Fairmont will enhance its brand presence with properties in Vietnam and New Orleans. Fairmont Hanoi, set to open in early 2026, will offer 241 rooms adorned with Indochinese and French colonial designs, closely followed by Fairmont New Orleans, which will occupy the historic Bank of New Orleans building, complete with a rooftop bar and extensive spa facilities.

Sustainable Luxury: New Developments in the Middle East and Asia

Sustainability is at the forefront of Accor’s development strategy. The Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre will combine luxury with Saudi heritage, offering 388 rooms and the largest luxury convention center in Riyadh. Meanwhile, the Fairmont Dalian in China is designed to merge modern luxury with principles of sustainability, featuring a restored heritage building that will house 70 rooms.

In the Middle East, the Pullman Ninh Binh in Vietnam, opening early 2026, promises a biophilic design that connects guests with the breathtaking views of Ninh Binh’s limestone karsts.

New Resorts and Authentic Experiences Globally

Accor’s expansion strategy is not limited to hotels; it encompasses the establishment of luxurious resorts providing immersive experiences. The Rimrock Banff in Canada’s Banff National Park will open mid-2026, featuring breathtaking Bow Valley views and wellness facilities inspired by the area’s natural beauty.

Among these new offerings, the Masseria Furnirussi in the heart of Puglia will invite guests to unwind in the largest fig orchard in Europe. This hotel will celebrate Mediterranean craftsmanship, showcasing a serene atmosphere for authentic escapes.

Diverse Offerings in Asia and the Maldives

Accor is also set to expand its MGallery Collection with new hotels in Thailand, Japan, and the Maldives.

  • In Phuket, the Navera Phuket will offer stunning villas overlooking the Andaman Sea.

  • In Hiroshima, the Mercure Tokyu Stay Hiroshima will integrate the convenience of extended stays with local design aesthetics.

The V Villas Maldives at Mirihi, reopening after renovations, will feature 42 luxurious villas, immersed in the serene beauty of the Indian Ocean, providing an intimate getaway for travelers.

Wellness and Midscale Developments

For guests focused on wellness retreats, the Mantis Hiddn in South Africa promises a fully inclusive experience, featuring 12 mountain suites with panoramic views, set against the backdrop of the Eastern Cape.

Accor is also keen on expanding its midscale and economy segments. New hotels are planned in Brazil, China, and Saudi Arabia, aimed at modern travelers seeking comfort and convenience without compromising quality.

With its diverse array of new properties and innovative offerings, Accor is priming itself for a landmark year in 2026, set to redefine the landscape of luxury travel worldwide. Whether through its iconic hotel brands, stunning new resorts, or pioneering sustainable luxury, Accor is paving the way for a new era in hospitality.
