The Outdoor Adventures program is hosting four thrilling trips between March 7 and March 17, 2024. Notably, all trips include essential gear, transportation, meals, and expert instruction, ensuring a hassle-free experience for participants.
A Journey Down the Rio Grande River
One of the most exhilarating options available is the Rio Grande Canoeing trip, scheduled for March 7–17, 2024. Picture this: spending several days navigating the remote, majestic river canyons forged by the Rio Grande. Participants will cover approximately 80 miles, exploring tight canyons and remnants of abandoned villages along the way.
This experience is not just a leisure trip; the remoteness and challenging rapids require participants to be in excellent physical condition and maintain a positive mindset. As this adventure entails multi-day camping without resupplies or meals from restaurants, it is ideal for those seeking an authentic wilderness experience. Backpacking Through the Escalante

This backpacking trip offers participants a chance to delve deep into nature while exploring the area’s rich history and native cultures. Adventurers will immerse themselves in a paradise of climbing routes nestled in the Ozark Mountains, filled with stunning views and challenging climbs. If biking is your passion, the Arkansas Mountain Biking adventure is set for March 9-13, 2024. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned cyclists, this trip offers professional mountain biking coaching before hitting the extensive network of forest trails in the Ozark Mountains.
Participants will enjoy scenic rides during the day, with evenings filled with camaraderie and games in cozy indoor accommodations. In addition to these exciting multi-day trips, the Outdoor Adventures program offers a variety of one-day and weekend excursions planned throughout February, March, April, and May.
